Monday Paris Rain at night but Sunny again in the morning

today i just want to uploaded my photos online ...

i spent alomst an hour in order to find an internet cafe. in quite reasonable price that cost 1 euro an hour. i have better to write down the qddress.

Sunday Nice-Paris Sunny

Finally went back to Paris ...

i went to the same hostel as before. however, the atmosphere was not as good as previous room. also i have to sleep upper ... i was afraid i would fell on the ground...

Saturday Nice Still Sunny

it seems there was no rainny days in France ... those sun rays just wanted to kill me ...

luckily today i got free Mövenpick ice cream in Galeries Lafayette ... i chose chocolate however it tasted so sweet...

i also went to two bookstores, went to free exhibition at a nice building, the site named Le Théâtre de la Photographie et de l'Image.

Finally, i stayed at Fnac until 6.30 p.m.

Friday Nice-Cannes-Nice Sunny

before i don't expect anything in Cannes, however there were still some worth to visit.

when i went there, of course things about film ... banners of portrait of film stars (mainly Hollywood ones) hanging on the streets. souvenirs of cannes festivals. however i did not buy anything about cannes film festival.

luckily, there was cannes lion festival which was for advertising. there was a free exhibition. i collected some free thing, like coffee (ha ha), postcards, bottle of water by Yahoo...

i also attended a forum which was about corporate responsibility. although not much real example given, it was valuable experience to attend such a forum overseas.

outsides there was a stall which about New Zealand. it seems that a country also need to build up its own image. how about HK? is it still an old ship???

Thursday Nice-Monaco-Nice Fine (again)

i found only rich men live there ... lots of ships parked around the shore. some even had helicopter on the ship too...

also i found a Japanese Garden there. very beautiful.

for my lunch, i ate pizza, chips, and coke light (with orange favour, taste bad...) , cost 6 euros. Pizza tasted good, yummy ...

Wednesday Nice-Marseiles-Nice Fine

Today was even worst than yesterday...

First those trains i reserved were cancelled. then i had to wait for two hours to catch another train.

When i went there, i only have around two hours travel around. overall, it was a nice place. you can bought food for reasonable price. there i also went to bookshop sell antique books. i found french version of bocks had better design.

Worth to spend a day there.

Tuesday Paris-Nice Fine

I spent almost 5 hours on the train ...

when i went there, first i had to queue again in order to check the latest timetable. I booked two-ways to and fro Marseilles.

Then i went to hostel , check-in and went out do some shopping.

Monday London-Paris Fine

When i stepped to Paris, it was all different from UK. You have to queue for an hour just asking simple question like train timetable ... lots of crewing gums were waiting for you ... the staff there seems didn't care. They may say, i don't speak english... that's all ...

anyway you got to get over it.

Sunday Bath-London Fine

Back to london and prepare to go to france tomorrow...

when i am in Internet cafe, logged on msn... someone asked me if i enjoyed the journey at that moment... to be honest, preparation was more excited when during travel... i found i was not excited as others... maybe i am very old...

Saturday Bath Rainy (again, again and again...)

bought biography by late Joy Division front man Ian Curtis from Oxfam in the morning. Aslo having breakfast at Bhm...

then walk around Bath. at the afternoon it rained again, very heavy rain...

during that time i went to a grave yard. surprising, the graves were miseable. and a notice indicate that one was 'a mistery'...

went up to St Michael's Hill. Then having lunch at Burgerking. At last also spend at bookstore... reading graphic novel. great.

Thursday Bath-Cardiff-Bath Rainy (again)

Went to Cardiff. On the street, the signs were bilingual (Welsh and English). I went to a local market. This was the first time i went to local market. You can buy quite cheap things. There i bought cherry tomato and chcoclate muffin for not more than 1 pound !!! tomato tasted fresh and muffin was great too !!!

actually i found Birkenstock sandals quite reasonable price there... only cost around 20 pounds (HK$320). i really really want to bought it...

Having spend half day on train. First delay of my first train, then we had to got off in the middle of journey ... it was almost 3 pm. when i went to Bath...

Tuesday Chester Sunny

stay at Chester. went to shopping at some 2nd hand shop like Oxfam. Finally bought Mansun (again) 'She makes my nose bleed' CD single and 16th edition of Winne the Pooh.

At last i stayed at library and read book. read a book called 'Below the Breadline – Living on the Minimum Wage' by Fran Abrams. Actually there is lot of the poor in UK, a leaflet shown in Oxfam that said a cruel fact: 1/3 of population in UK are poor ... just can't belive it ...

Monday Chester-Liverpool-Chester Sunny

Take train to Liverpool. Went to Albert Dock, few museums around that area. The most popular one must be Bealtes' one. I did not get in the exhibition , just had a look at its gift shop... actually i found a stationary bag, which was yellow submarine one, quite nice, only cost 3 pounds. however, i don't want my bag got very heavy... just leave it. i spent 0.51 pound to make a coin which bear 'Bealtes Story' on the coin.

Have lunch in a local arcade, don't acpect there was such kind of small aracde in England.

Back to Chester around 6.30 p.m.

Sunday London- Chester Sunny

Check out and ahead to Euston Station. I went there two hours earlier... just strolling around , read magazine in shop, ate breakfast, bought coffee.

When i went to Chester, really a remote city ...

after unpacked my luggage, strolled around the city. finally i found 'Fatcat' pub!!! (but did not get in during in chester ... what a pity).

Saturday London Sunny

going out with my roomate, she was so nice, also with her newly-met friend in the hostel.

We hurried to Buckingham Palace and saw parade. And she asked me if it was interesting... i just reply 'so so' ...

in the afternoon, i left them and went to Oxford Circus. At last i went to Soho area and bought two Vinyls from Mansun. It 's great !!!

Friday London Sunny

Having a GREAT English breakfast in the morning. Then i eat nothing during lunch.

went to British Museum, smaller than i expected. i just spend five hours to view all collection. maybe i just skimmed through the collection than i finished visiting so fast ...

than went to reserve my next train, Virgin is such a great company . i reserve a seat without any charge !!! thanks Richard Branson !!!

Thursday Sunny

Last night, one of my roommate said you could not hide yourself from others... i just said nothing about it ... maybe that was why i am not quite enjoyed my journey at that moment ...

in the morning i went to Tate Modern, it was a power station before , therefore some engines could be seen inside the gallery. the exhibitions were interesting and made me thought the distinction between arts and machine. a art piece actually was a bubble-making machine... was it art ? well... i dunno.

Today i hadn't visit gallery ... just stroll around the street ...

i found shopping was not my interest at all. you can buy those cloths in HK, with much cheaper price.

Then i just drink coffee at Starbucks for my lunch ...

At last i spend a whole afternoon reading at bookstore.

Having Breakfast in McDonald's, such a expensive breakfast ... Almost HK$40 ...

Surprisingly, i met Jasmine and her friend at National Portrait Gallery ... such a coincidence ...

Travel Day 1

Feel really exhausted ...... My eyes and head felt pain during landing ...

When i got on the plane ... before that i thought i could own ALL the three seats... but later two passengers added in ... then nightmare started ... as i sat towards window, i could not get around ... just within my own seat ... went to toilet once during the journey ... later when i come back i won't choose window instead !!!

As i went to hostels quite early ... i put my luggage in hostel and stroll around ... i went to Kensington Gardens. it was such a nice gerden that worthy to have a rest there.however, my weak body could stand such a cold wind ... therefore i just gave up sitting there and went on ...
