Goodbooks - Control

If you like Athlete, i bet you like this band.

Max Cooke, frontman of Goodbooks, sings really alike with Joel Pott of Athlete. Compare to Athlete, I think Goodbooks showcases large variety of music styles, like electronic or balled.

Now you can listen to their new album "Control" through NME online. Mind you, when you listen to last track "Start/Stop", don't press "Stop" immediately when music seems finish ...

Interpol - Our Love to Admire

Original Version
Deluxe Version

For my $$$ shortage ... before i intended not to buy it, as you can have full album review on NME ... however, this album was well-received from media. (Therefore review is not dead... it really works !!!) now i got CD at my hand...

there are two editions, original and deluxe edition, available. Deluxe edition has booklet package, with lots of photos (sorry, not band photos) and poster. It sell HK$176 at Sino Centre. i just bought original version for $78.

Overall, the music matched well with art design in album. The images flashed in your mind during listening to music. not a quite surprising album, though. dark, love and hate, etc. I am still waiting for a "shocking" album win over my "Six"...

I Started to Disbelive Magic...

Today i watched anime "Ojamajo Doremi Na.i.syo". This episode was about Doremi Harukaze met a girl accidentally. That girl was so sick that she needed to stay in hospital for a long time. And she was fond of magic and seemed know much about Maho-do. Once she told Doremi that she seemed do not believe in magic as her spell could not help her to fight illness...

during this time, i recalled a news article about a 14-year-old boy with mucopolysaccharidoses. At the beginning of article, he said he wish he was a normal person, after a sleep...

therfore, still i don't believe in any religion... cos you still feel resentment in my mind...

Charlotte Gainsbourg : 5:55

I've searched for this album when i was traveling last month. But i found it was very expensive in France (almost HK$170). I just bought it yesterday for around HK$100.

After listening to the album last night, it sounded similar as Air's latest album "Pocket Symphony". As the album was made by Air, Javis Cocker, and Neil Hannon of Divine Comedy. still i enjoyed listening to the album. My favourite two tracks are 5.55 and operation, which you can know more about her through these two songs.

... He Has Clever Mind if He Has this Thinking

2005 Edition

1995 Edition

That's the response from my younger brother when i told him about the "dramatic" life of Ian Curtis, the late front man of Joy Division.

at this moment i am reading Ian's widow, Deborah Curtis account of Ian's biography. After reading most of the content (only lyric part has not read), if Deborah Curtis is right (cos no one could tell ALL the things True...), i think Ian is selfish. He attempted to achieve his dream: die with legacy. Ignore all people who care him. I thought if he got older, he might think his "dream" was silly...

Anyway he had dead ... and he is LEGEND ...
