The Kon Ichikawa Story by Shunji Iwai

An unusual documentary, the film was made as silent film, inter titles flashed between scenes. The film is about Shunji's favourite director: Kon Ichikawa.
One interesting issue of the film was war. Although this issue was not touched deeply, (the scene about Piriformis syndrome)we seems felt director's attitude towards war. Also Ichikawa is a chain smoker. Once he said: "Even my family members got exposure of A-bomb, they still live beyond 100 years old. Compare to a-bomb, nicotine doesn't matter... "
Towards the end of the film, there are some "the making-of" clips of "Inugamike no ichizoku" remake. A close-up was made on his foot. And he is wearing clogs with Mickey Mouse: a calling to film industry.
