I had not been made such laugher during watching film in recent year, until I watched this film.

Simple but touching film. The film is divided into two part. Part one Hotel Chevalier is about Jason Schwartzman meet his girlfriend (played by Natalie Portman) at Paris. Part two is about Jason and two other brothers went for "spiritual journey" in India. The goal was to find their mother (Anjelica Huston ... looks more lovely than in her "real" life...)

What makes me watching the film is LV ... Those Louis Vuitton luggage remade by director's brother Eric, very lovely ... Hope one day i can own one.

Soundtrack also played important role in the film. My favorite song is "Where Do You Go To (My Lovely)" by Peter Sarstedt. Here is the lyrics.

Travel Day 4

Although I did not visit any place, I still want to say something.

I got up very early (4.30a.m. !!!). Check-out at around 5 a.m. Took a taxi outside hotel. Strangely, this time I only paid $80, compare to $120 last time ...

Arrived outside the airport, so-called "International" airport, the airport still closed ... Very freezing, waiting outside with around 10 passengers. After waiting for around 10 minutes, they opened door and let us in.

The check-in counter only opened 1.5 hour prior the departure time. Therefore I wasted an hour at the airport.

My flight only occupied half of the seat. Without choosing my food, I could only eat noodle. After 3 hours' flight, return home !!!

Travel Day 3

Today first I went to Stone Man Sightseeing Garden. I exercised a lot here. Thanks to constant practice at home, I got no problem hiking at the garden... and shipped those spit ... My body felt warm and had to remove clothings ... According to its web site, this area is intended to developed as multi-purpose resort area. However, i don't think it not quite worked.
Strangely, the sky was not clear during stay at Qingdao. was it by weather , or pollution ...

In the afternoon, I returned to JUSCO, lunch at the same food shop. Then went to zhanqiao. when i got off the bus. I noticed a road sign direct to Catholic Church. Then i went ahead and away from ZhangQiao ... After visiting St. Emil Church, I found i lost direction ... after wandering the street for an hour, I got on a bus and went to Lu Xun park and Junior Qingdao Park. at that time, I found that my pocket for my DC disappeared ... felt quite desperate ...

Returned to hotel and marked the end of this trip ...

Travel Day 2

Qingdao

Today my initial plan was to Laoshan. However when I went to ticketing office, they said I could not WALK but took taxi inside ... And those taxi driver found me only one people and could not gain a lot, they asked me to wait until more people come ... I left and took bus instead of waiting ...

I went to Xinhua Book City and walked around. Then i had my lunch at JUSCO nearby. Made some grocery there and returned to hotel. After putting some grocery there. Then headed to Tsingtao Beer Museum.

The entrance cost me $50, include one glass of beer and peanut. The museum was situated inside beer production area. You could see the real beer production. I found two ladies sitting and had to make sure that all beer were in suitable height. If not they had to pick them out. ...very tedious job and harmful to eyes ...

After visiting museum, I visited Walmart. This supermarket was two-floor. I spent around one hour there. But my leg was hurt by shopping cart ...

Travel Day 1

Hong Kong - Qingdao

Leaving HK is one way to forget your sorrow. I made such decision within one morning. During the trip, I borrow Orhan Pamuk's Istanbul.


Quite disappointed, the flight is worse than last one I chose: smaller, food tasted not good ... anyway, I sat near corridor that i could exercise easily. Before taking off, a safety program was broadcasted, in Putonghua and English. Towards the end of program, they would summarise the instruction in sign language. On the plane, TV screen was installed on the top, instead of in front of each seat. One program is about Jackie Chan's Rush Hour 3. The program claimed that Rush Hour series is Chan's only successful movie in Hollywood ... ha ha.

After leaving Qingdao airport, worrying about transportation. The only way was to take taxi. When asking the fee, that taxi driver said "$120". I said from some web sites they said only $100. He replied that those fee not included other road fee ... Later he said he would drive me back and found other taxi with cheaper fare ... I declined his "request" and agreed to paid him $120.

When I arrived the hotel, I realised that I had not confirmed my flight. I told staff there and they gave me a phone number of flight company. However it was wrong number, staff on the phone gave me another number. No response ... Luckily, I could access the Internet in hotel. I dialed flight company's Hong Kong office. They checked and confirmed that my return flight was still on schedule. Such a big relief !!!

Then i went out and hoping find some places to eat. However, all shops nearby closed. I returned to hotel and ate instant noodle in my hotel room (cost me $6...). Hoping I could solve catering problem later days.

Travel Again ...

I'll be Qingdao from Friday, for four days' trip. Hope I won't die cos it is very cold at that moment ...
